Aeroplane
There are flexible, almost daily connections between Graz airport and other important European airports like Vienna, Frankfurt, Munich, Düsseldorf, Zürich and Paris. Links to flights to other countries abroad can be made easily.

Train
Train connections within Austria are offered between Graz and Vienna, Salzburg, Linz, Innsbruck, Klagenfurt and within Europe between Graz and Munich, Frankfurt, Düsseldorf, Zürich, Paris, Rome, Milano, Ljubljana, Zagreb and Budapest.

Taxi
Transfer time from Graz airport to the city by taxi is about half an hour. Taxis are always available at Graz airport. If not, please call Taxi Nr. +43 316 878 or +43 316 889.


Local public transport
Most of our venues are very central and can be reached on foot from the festival district in a few minutes or, more conveniently, by bus or tram. We will be putting on a shuttle service to take you to the opening Laafeld.


Car
By car you can reach Graz via Highway A9 (from the north: Salzburg/Linz/Germany; from the south: Slovenia, Croatia) and via Highway A2 (from the east: Vienna/Hungary/Poland/Czech Republic; from the south (Klagenfurt/Italy). Driving time from Vienna is about 2 hours, from Lubljana about 2 hours as well, from Linz and Zagreb about 3 hours, from Salzburg about 4 hours and from Munich about 5 hours.

Shuttleservice Vienna-Graz-Vienna on Sat, 24/09
This year for the first time we are running a shuttle bus from Vienna to Graz and back on Saturday of the opening weekend – to the exhibition tour and performances Cesena and Potato Country.

Departure in Vienna: 8 am opposite Wiener Staatsoper
Return from Graz: 9.30 pm, Festival district: bus stop / 10 pm Helmut-List-Halle
